Greg Moss
Greg Moss has been a business and information systems consultant for over 25 years. Starting in 1988, Greg began to work extensively on financial and accounting-related applications. He wrote his first custom billing system for a rehabilitation facility at the age of 20. He has worked extensively in the healthcare, point of sale, manufacturing, telecommunications, and service sectors. Greg is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and was the chief information officer for Crownline Boats, Inc. In addition to studying music and computer science at Southern Illinois University, he completed a BS in business administration and information systems at Walden University. Greg also has an information assurance certification from Carnegie Mellon University. In addition to Odoo, he has experience in a variety of ERP systems and was a Sage Pro partner for several years. Greg is the CEO of First Class Ventures, LLC and the owner of FirstClassComputerConsulting.com (http://firstclasscomputerconsulting.com/) and OdooClass.com (http://www.odooclass.com/). He is also an Odoo Ready Partner. In 2014, Greg started a game studio called FirstClassGameStudios.com (http://firstclassgamestudios.com/) and designed and developed NeuroMage, a game that utilizes an inexpensive research-grade EEG headset to allow you to learn spells in the game using only your mind. NeuroMage was first demonstrated at the Neurogaming conference in 2014. This is an excellent resource for anyone who uses Odoo

This is an excellent resource for anyone who uses Odoo, but it is especially useful for anyone wanting to customize Odoo for their business. I am particularly impressed with Odoo's new website builder, and with the help of this book, we were able to quickly build an e-commerce website that is fully integrated with other Odoo modules. This is a huge deal. We have needed a new website for quite a while, but companies willing to integrate with our accounting system wanted more than we could reasonably pay. The detailed instructions in this book allowed us to build our website in-house, and it works better than we could have hoped. I haven't yet ventured into creating my own custom modules, but I have been able to do some customization, and it has made life easier for me and my employees. Even something as seemingly simple as creating a custom search and saving it for later has been incredibly helpful. The book itself is well written and organized, and the real-life examples are really nice. I now find myself wanting to customize Odoo to do things I had never even considered.

The best book about the updated ODOO . it's a great help for working with ODOO

If you want a fast approach to Odoo this is the perfect book. It covers all aspects from installation to any changes or creating new modules and functionalities.The language and exposure are clear and direct, with a very practical approach. This book is a good starting point, because it saves a lot of time researching and seeking information about Odoo.
All major areas and features Odoo this covered, concepts and their use are explained. To me, a very interesting example is the area of CRM and Manufacturing. A very powerful feature is the workflows, that are explained in a very clear and truly useful way. Special mention to the tips, which are very useful and help avoid wasting time with specific issues.
I recommend this book to both end users and technicians who want to meet and start with this product.The explanation for the creation and customization of modules, is particularly interesting and is done very effectively. The Website area ( Portal, Ecommerce) are especially interesting, because they are a very important point of this version of Odoo. The technical side up, is vary good covered also and the backup and configurations is superbly documented for a novice user, and even for an expert consultant required to expand these areas.
Definitely a great tool to learn Odoo. I would totally recommend.

This book is an easy and fast walk-through to install and use Odoo (install, set it, CRM, purchasing, manufacturing, accounting, HR... admin). It's a new version of the "working with OpenERP 7". It describe also the new features.
Then Greg Moss give useful information to customize your ERP with dashboard, workflow, custom modules ... and introduce new modules as "building web site / CMS" or "e-commerce".
So you'll find accurate informations to use Odoo and even "pros and cons" on each feature.
