Ordering for second time

I love this book! I'm a 4th year medical student and I have 3 other texts on immunology and this is the one that I keep going back to. I loaned it to a friend and it burned in a fire so here I am ordering it again. The text is simple and to the point. The diagrams are suitable and I found them detailed enough. This is my bedtime reading book.

An outstanding introduction to the principles of immunology.

This book, with good color graphics and easy to understand
descriptions of immunological processes, is the best
introduction to the field that I have read. It is clearly
written and all of the information is presented in language
that informs rather than confuses the reader. The
authors do a very good job of balancing the conflicting
demands of scientific rigor and readability. At the end of
the book, I felt that I had a firm grasp of the principles
of immunology and the knowledge to approach more advanced
and technical works. I highly recommend the book to anyone
interested in developing a firm understanding of the basic
science of immunology.

A great introduction to immunology

This book is a great introduction to immunology. Many other immunology books have too much information to absorb, but this book is as brief as possible without sacrificing clarity. I especially liked the review questions and ample references at the end of each chapter.

International trade agreements are central to food security. The links between trade and the four dimensions in food security (availability, access, utilization, and stability) are examined. Freer trade in agricultural products provides additional food security. This is bolstered by factors such as increasing the use of GMOs, reducing food waste, and increasing investment in research and development. Also important is the ability of poor people to obtain food in the presence of transportation bottlenecks. Since low-income households spend most of their money on food, policy makers need to be aware of the harm caused by high and volatile food prices. Thus, food security and poverty are very much linked. We provide an understanding of the meaning and measurement of food security and the impacts of government policies in poverty alleviation. In terms of investment in research and development, even with increased productivity, problems attached to food security will remain unless there are significant changes in global income distribution. Global food shortages are due more to the lack of purchasing power rather than lack of food supplies, with the food gap continuing to widen.
